ChanFlow · BaZi character reports

See who you are.

ChanFlow provides BaZi character reports at thechanflow.com. Your BaZi is the spine, cross-checked against Western astrology and Zi Wei Dou Shu, of one report about you: who you are, why the years you've lived went the way they did, and what the season you are in is asking of you. The chart is computed in code and every claim traces back to the classical texts — no verdicts, nothing to fix or ward off, no predicting what happens in which year. Just said clearly, then handed back to you.

What it reads

Who you are: your grain, your habits, the knot you carry
The years behind you: why they went the way they did
This season: what the stretch you are in is asking of you

What it won’t do

No verdicts of fortune, no ruling on whether you fit
Nothing to fix, nothing to ward off, nothing to buy for luck
No predicting what happens in which year

The lineage

One character, traced back to the Taiji.

BaZi is not the trigrams of the I Ching. It follows the line Zhou Dunyi drew in his Explanation of the Taiji Diagram: the Taiji divides into yin and yang, yin and yang give rise to the five phases, the five phases settle into ten Heavenly Stems — and the stem of the day you were born is your Day Master.

TaijiThe undivided whole
Yin · YangMotion and stillness
Five phasesWater, fire, wood, metal, earth
Ten stemsTen ways of being one of the five
Day MasterThe stem of the day you were born

How it works

Your birth

Year, month, day and gender are enough. If you know the hour and the city, we correct for true solar time and the chart gets sharper.

Computed, not guessed

The pillars, the Ten Gods and the ten-year cycles are computed exactly in code — the AI interprets, it never does the math. When three independent systems point at the same person, the reading holds.

Your report

The years behind you and the season you are in, written in language you can actually use. Ask follow-ups, export it to keep, or turn it into a card worth sharing.

Your relationship report

Read the bond only the two of you share, for someone you care about: how you move around each other, where you snag, what each gives the other, the years you walked and this season. Made to give, never a verdict on whether you fit.
